Joshua 1:6 Be strong and of a good courage

1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous

1:9 Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever thou goest.

1:18 ...only be strong and of a good courage

Four times in the first chapter of Joshua, the Lord said to Joshua; "Be strong and of a good courage." This has to mean it is of the utmost importance to God. It's like He's saying Pay attention! Focus on this! Verily, Verily this is important!

Below are a few reminders the Lord said to me toward the beginning of the year 2021.

  1. God said to Have confidence in myself and in what He has deposited within me because of WHO is standing with me, within me, before me, because of WHO is with me. 2 Kings 6:16 "Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. God and His angel armies are with you, around you; they back you up. So have full confidence in yourself, because God has confidence in you, because you are His and He backs you.

  2. God said, I Love you! I see you! El-Roi, I AM the God who sees, who knows exactly what you need at any and all times. He does and shall provide according to His riches in glory, according to His sovereign and providential plan. Romans 8:35 asks the question, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall

things to come

Nothing shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

3. God said, He is interested in every detail of our lives. We are to bring to Him EVERYTHING that pertains to us, bring it to Him FIRST! Why? Because He made us; shaped us; knew us even before being fashioned and formed in our mother's womb. He knows us better than we know ourselves and He only wants the best for us. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." He is the creator of EVERYTHING, so who else would be better to get advice and counsel from. He

intricately put ALL of EVERYTHING

He holds it ALL together so it runs and operates smoothly just as He designed it to do.

We would be fools to trust in anyone or anything else.

Our finances

family members

our jobs

our homes

our thoughts

our wills

our emotions

our faults

our sins

our iniquity

Let the King of Glory enter into every aspect of your life!

4. God is lifting us up and raising us to a new standard: strengthening us and empowering us even the more. Isaiah 59:19, So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. It's not that we didn't already have His presence, His power and His high standard, all of us didn't know this or walked in it. But a time is coming and is very soon upon us even now, where we shall ALL; Your Church LORD, walk in that power, boldness and authority you have given us and ALL will see it. We shall be that raised standard!

The religious will see it and despise it,

the traditionalist will see it and hate it,

the heathen will see it and curse it,

But there will be no denying it!!!!!!

To ALL of His surrendered children in the body of Christ; your Bride shall rise to a standard and power like none other; Jude 1:23 "And of others save with fear; pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment potted by the flesh." Talk about a Revival!!!!!! Let it come LORD, Let it Come!

5. God said Seek my presence, run after my presence, desire, my presence, stay in my presence.

Psalm 119:10 says "With my whole heart have I sought thee...

Psalm 138:1 says "I will praise thee with my whole heart...

Psalm 27:8 says "When thou said, seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face LORD, will I seek.

Obed-edom was a man that had the presence of God; the Ark, dropped at his door step on its journey to Jerusalem. The Ark stayed in Obed-edom's home for three months and during it's short stay, Obed-edoms house and all within were blessed. They were blessed so much that others took notice, especially the officials of Jerusalem and King David. King David recognized the presence, the glory and the blessings of God in the home of Obed and determined he must continue the Ark's journey to make Jerusalem its home. When David removed the Ark from his home, Obed-edom followed the presence and the glory. Obed-edom determined that the presence of God was worth chasing and seeking after and staying in. And once in Jerusalem Obed-edom was promoted to door keeper of the Ark, so he was always in God's presence and glory.

This is what the LORD wants from us. To love Him in such a way that we always want to be in His presence. We run after and seek His presence above His blessings, more than His gifts because in this coming season, we shall need His presence like never before; and to hold on to Him tight: don't let go of His unchanging hand.

6. God said "...lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily besets us, and let us run the race that is set before us."

Jeremiah 1:17

Thou therefore gird up thy loins,

and arise, and speak

unto all that I command thee:

be not dismayed at their faces,

lest I confound thee before them.

For, behold, I have made thee a defenced city,

an iron pillar, and brasen walls...

They shall fight against thee,

but not prevail against thee

for I am with thee said the LORD to deliver thee.

Be encouraged, Amen!
