Sacrifices Unto God Holy and Acceptable

Hosea 6:6 - For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Hebrews 10:6 - In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Psalm 51:16 - For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

BUT...

Psalm 51:17 - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou will not despise. (Offer up to God your broken and repentant heart)

Psalm 27:6 - And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of Joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. (Offer up to God songs of joy and praise)

Hebrews 13:15 - By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. (Offer up to God the fruit; the sweetness of your lips)

Leviticus 22:29 - And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will. (Offer up to God your gratitude and heart of thanks)

Leviticus 19:5 - And if ye off a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will. (Offer up to God your willingness to bring and be at peace with Him and man)

Psalm 4:5 - Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. (Offer up to God your genuineness, your excellence, your freedom from guilt and sin)

Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Offer up to God your body to be used for His good pleasure and glory)

1 Peter 2:5 - Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (Offer up to God your prayers, praises, your will, your body, your time, your talents. Offer up to Him ALL words and deeds fueled by the pure motivation of pleasing and glorifying God)

These things are our reasonable service, holy and acceptable unto God.

And obedience, let's not forget obedience.

For Samuel said unto Saul: "Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of the rams." (1 Samuel 15:22.) But that's a teaching for a later time...

May this teaching and these scriptures bless you and exhort you to give unto God His due honor and blessings and glory; Alleluia!
